Constance Walker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Constance E. "Connie" Walker, age 83, of rural Pinckneyville, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2008, at 11:50 a.m. in her home.

Connie was born on January 8, 1925 in Paxton, Ind., a daughter to Fred and Melba (Ladson) MacDonald. On June 20, 1947, she married Bob Norwood Walker in Sullivan, Ind., and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2005. In her lifetime, she had worked at Rodell's Clothing Store, Pinckneyville, IL and managed the White Rabbit, Pinckneyville, IL. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, and loved painting and antiquing.

Survivors include her son, Robert E. Walker of Kibbie; daughter, Judy (Joe) Holder of Pinckneyville; brother, David (Nancy) MacDonald of Sullivan, Ind; granddaughter, Jessica E. Holder of Pinckneyville; two step-granchildren, Robert (Angie) Holder and their children, Jesse and Josey of Willisville, and Jim (Pam) Holder and their children, Ashley and Jessica of Pinckneyville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Merritt "Bunk" and William MacDonald; and sister, Mary Frances MacDonald Nash.

Funeral services will be held in Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Barnett officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, DuQuoin.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Monday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
