Troop 316 rollin' along
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Boy Scouts in Troop 316 continue to keep busy rolling along with many activities. They posed briefly for a group picture before heading out on a 10 mile bike ride along Shawneetown Trail ending up at the Pierre Menard Home. Melanie Winters is the cycling merit badge counselor for the group.
Scout Night at the Grizzlies stadium is a favorite activity among the Troop. The original plans were to spend the night camping out after the game. Due to storms in the area, the sleepover was cancelled.
The Troop recently visited Gilster Mary-Lee in McBride, MO, for a tour of the plant. It was an educational experience for all that attended and a great peek behind the scenes.
Upcoming events this fall include additional bike rides, a camping/canoe trip, NESA Day at Camp Joy, and a trip to St. Louis to work on the electricity merit badge at Ameren UE.
