James Dunn

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ James K. Dunn, 54, passed away March 13, 2008, at the Laurels.

He was born in Pinckeyville on July 24, 1953, to Harry and Nina (Burns) Dunn. Jim graduated from Pinckneyville Community High School and attended Southern Illinois University were he was a member of the Marching Salukis and ROTC. Before moving to Mount Vernon, he was an executive chef with the Morrison/Picadilly restaurant chain, and lived throughout the south and middle west. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many friends. He will be remembered for his warmth, humor and his ready smile.

He is survived by his brother, Giles Tom (Peggy) Dunn of Danville; his aunts, Alice Burns and Margaret Dunn of Pinckneyville; his niece, Laura Hindman of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; three grandnieces and a grandnephew; and his special friends, Larry and Jeanne Phillips of Danville.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Pinckneyville. Memorial contributions and be made to Hospice of Knox County; 17700 Coshocton Rd., or to the Foundation for Know Community Hospital/Cancer Clinic; 1330 Coshocton Rd., Mount Vernon, 43050.
