New Event Plate for Popeye Picnic

The plates will be of high quality metal as in years past, with expanded area available for character theme placement. There will be up to 125 numbered plates issued with additional non-numbered plates available. These plates cannot be displayed in place of the state-issued license plates, but may be displayed either above or below a current plate, or in the window of a vehicle. Since these plates do not replace the official state issued plates, they can be displayed as long as the purchaser wants and not just during the picnic.

The recently re-designed Popeye Picnic Event Plate project for 2008 will offer past subscribers an exciting opportunity to keep their collections current, and also make available this collectible art form to new fans. Last year's numbers are currently reserved for their respective purchasers, but only guaranteed if pre-ordered by August 15th. Individual plates may be ordered at Spinach Can Collectibles (618-826-4567) for $10.00 each. If a set of two numbered plates is desired, the pre-order must be received before the deadline. The Popeye Picnic Committee urges everyone to place their order quickly, since this attractive collectible at such an affordable price will undoubtedly sell out fast.
