Viola A. Grefe, 88

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (Hagen) Eggemeyer, she was born July 30, 1919 in Schuline, IL.

On August 30, 1941, she married Harvey Grefe in Sparta, IL, and he preceded her in death in 1988.

Viola was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Sparta.

Survivors include two sons-Roger (Cindy) Grefe of Red Bud, IL and David (Dawn) Grefe of Steeleville, IL; two daughters-Carolyn (Mike) Loesing and Brenda (Rich) Montroy, both of Sparta, IL;

Sister-in-law, Betty Eggemeyer of Sparta; two sisters-Pearl Mahan of Sparta and Kathleen Kane of Marissa; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one grandson, Gregory Montroy; and one brother, Harvey Eggemeyer.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 21, 2008 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Sparta, IL, with Rev. David Moody officiating. Burial was in the Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Southern Illinois, or the Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary.
