Fred J. Meininger, 79

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[The son of Fred C. and Edna (Pugh) Meininger, he was born May 22, 1929 in Oraville, IL.

On July 23, 1949, he married Betty Jane Johnson in Percy, IL, and she preceded him in death in 1998.

Fred was a retired electrician for Consol Coal Co-Kellogg Loading Dock. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bremen, the Chester Senior Citizens, and the Chester Eagles.

Survivors include two daughters-Diana (Douglas) Reeves of Percy, IL and Connie (Kenneth) Bollmann of Chester, IL; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sharon (Gary) Watson of Sparta, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville, IL, with Rev. Edwin A. Reuter officiating. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Bremen, IL.
