Porch Fire is an Americana jam fusion band based out of Carbondale. The band combines different styles of music to create their unique sound, including bluegrass, reggae, rock, blues, jazz, Americana and psychedelia. Members of the band are Blake Bledsoe, Liz Hartman, Troy Hutchens, Levi Jones, Cecily Rhodes, and Dakota Yeck-Petty.
‘Til the Morning Comes takes its name from an early Grateful Dead song. Two years ago, guitarist/vocalist Robbie Stokes, formerly of 4 on the Floor and St. Stephen’s Blues and currently in the classic rock band The Venturis, purchased a semi-vintage Fender Twin Reverb guitar amp from fellow Carbondale musician and guitar/amp guru Bill Carter.
Robbie brought the amp and a G&L guitar to Rustle Hill Winery to sit in with the band Moving Mary. Grateful Dead covers ensued, and out of that jam session ‘Til the Morning Comes’ was born. In addition to Robbie, band members are Tom Hensold on drums, Dan Comer on drums and vocals, Shane Koch on guitar and vocals, Roger Fliege on keyboards and vocals, and Nate Blew on bass.
