A family argument that escalated into a knife attack landed one man in jail last week.
Carbondale Police say they arrested Preston E. Turner, 51, of Park Hills, Mo., after responding May 31 to a complaint at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Officers learned that two family members, Turner and the male victim, began arguing with each other at a residence in the 400 block of East Sycamore Street when Turner allegedly brandished a knife and cut the victim twice.
The victim’s injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and they were treated at the hospital. Turner was arrested without incident and taken to the Jackson County Jail.
