Three men arrested for drug charges in Carbondale

Three men were arrested Monday on drug charges in Carbondale, according to the Carbondale Police Department.  

At about 5:43 p.m. the police received a report of a suspicious vehicle and retail theft at Kohl’s in Carbondale. As officers arrived, they located a vehicle with the three suspects.

Kyle Willis, 28, of Carbondale, Joshua Phelps, 20 of Swansea, and Joseph Kasten, 26, of Grand Tower were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a look-alike substance.

Phelps was also arrested for obstructing justice, and Willis for driving while license revoked. All three men were incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. 

Officers later learned a fourth suspect ran away from Kohl’s with the stolen merchandise. He is described as a white male wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. 

Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
